How Dersify handles data.
Dersify is used by institutions to teach English. The principles below are built into how the platform works.
- 01
Each institution’s data stays with that institution
Dersify serves several institutions from one platform. Every institution’s learners, classes and records are kept separate, and a person signed in at one institution cannot see another institution’s data.
- 02
Instructors don’t see learners’ conversations with Ask Dersify
When a learner asks Dersify for help with a lesson, that conversation is not shown to their instructors. Instructors see learning evidence — for example, that a learner needed repeated help with a topic — not what the learner wrote to Dersify.
- 03
AI requests use the smallest useful context
When Dersify’s AI helps a learner, the request is built from what is needed for that moment: the current page or activity, the lesson and the learner’s level. It is not given a learner’s full history.
- 04
AI interactions are recorded for safety and accountability
Each Ask Dersify exchange is recorded so that Dersify can check its help stayed within the rules — for example, that it did not give away answers — and so that the level of help can be reflected in learning evidence.
- 05
People make the decisions that matter
AI can suggest an evaluation of written work, but instructors review it and make the decision. Grades, promotions and curriculum releases are confirmed by people.
- 06
Access codes are protected
Codes that let students claim their place are single-use and time-limited. They are never stored in plain text, and claiming one also requires the student’s own verified email address.
- 07
Important changes are recorded
Administrative actions in an institution are recorded in an audit history, so administrators can see who changed what, and when.
Demo requests
If you request a demo through this website, we keep the details you give us so the Dersify team can reply, and use them for nothing else.
